The museums on Slotsholmen are repeating the success from previous years with an attractive common entrance ticket that is valid throughout March 2012.
New to this collaborative ticket venture are The Royal Stables, among the attractions of which is the Queen’s Gold Coach, which was last in use in January 2012 as part of the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of Her Majesty’s coming to the throne. Spend a day, a weekend or perhaps the whole of March exploring the many cultural attractions on Slotsholmen.
The island of Slotsholmen in the heart of Copenhagen is not only the centre of power with the Danish Parliament in Christiansborg as its focal point. Many people are unaware that it is also an oasis containing a host of unique cultural experiences. Nowhere else in Denmark is there such a concentration of museums offering experiences for every taste: From theatre to Jewish culture, from ruins to new architecture, from art to artillery, splendid royal halls, dazzling white horses, gold coaches and much more …
• The Danish Jewish Museum
• The Royal Stables, Christiansborg Palace
• Exhibitions in the Royal Library – The Black Diamond
• Christiansborg Palace, the Ruins
• The Theatre Museum in The Court Theatre
• Thorvaldsens Museum
• The Royal Danish Arsenal Museum
This general ticket provides for one visit to each museum throughout March 2012. So adults visiting all seven museums will save a whole DKK 240! In addition, the ticket gives a 50% reduction to The Royal Reception Rooms, Christiansborg Palace. Note that children are admitted without charge to almost all these museums.
The ticket is available at all participating attractions.
